Ngọc Việt Education Director on trial for music show fraud

Nguyễn Thị Thu Hà, Director of Ngọc Việt Education, appeared in court in Hanoi on August 11 for charges related to the fraudulent organization of the music show ‘Về đây bốn cánh chim trời’. The event, intended to honor composers such as Văn Cao and Trịnh Công Sơn, was abruptly canceled on December 28, 2025, after thousands of spectators had already arrived at the venue.

Investigations revealed that despite knowing the show could not proceed, Hà continued to sell tickets and instructed staff to admit guests to the arena. The company had collected over 3.6 billion VND in ticket sales, a portion of which was allegedly used to pay for previous programs. The show faced critical failures, including the inability to pay music directors and musicians, as well as failing to secure copyright permissions for 24 works.

Due to the absence of many victims and interested parties, the court has postponed the trial until August 27.
