NH Investment & Securities leads AI finance policy push in South Korea

NH Investment & Securities co‑hosted a policy seminar with the Korean Economic Research Society on AI‑driven finance, highlighting risks such as the “responsibility gap” when AI agents make decisions. Speakers proposed measures including an AI‑agent registration system, proportional data access for vetted institutions, macro‑level supervision, and an open‑banking model that treats data as personal assets. Samsung Securities organized a K‑Content IR Day, showcasing 13 emerging beauty and entertainment firms to over 200 investors, and announced a forthcoming IR event on shipbuilding, defense, nuclear power and mobility. Hana Securities launched an IRP promotion offering mobile vouchers to new or transferred individual retirement pension accounts. Separately, NH Investment Securities’ Gu Hye‑young explained that AI‑related capital‑intensive projects will sustain higher interest rates for the next decade, urging investors to focus on cash‑flow assets and avoid excessive leverage amid heightened market volatility.
