Cockroach Janta Party vows nationwide protests for October 10

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced plans for a massive nationwide mobilization on October 10. The movement is driven by demands for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar following alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.

CJP leaders, including Saurav Das and Abhijeet Dipke, have vowed to continue demonstrations despite recent police crackdowns and the threat of arrests. Das characterized potential government actions as “dictatorial,” asserting that the youth-led movement will not be deterred. Dipke specifically questioned Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the scale of potential arrests.

Recent protests in Delhi resulted in the detention of approximately 110 people and injuries to around 15 police personnel. Additionally, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has raised concerns regarding the use of minors during protests in Mumbai.
