Niš and Bijelo Polje increase funding for road and street upgrades

The City of Niš municipal council approved an additional 278 million dinars for its road and street program, raising the total to 2.0255 billion dinars. The extra funds target reconstruction of municipal roads, technical documentation, rehabilitation of pavement and signalisation, as well as maintenance of public lighting.

In Bijelo Polje, Montenegro, the local government released a tender to rebuild sidewalks in the central urban area, valued at around 300 000 euros, with a separate 100 000‑euro contract for public lighting upgrades. The municipality also plans to restore damaged stairways and renovate streets, with a total tender of roughly one million euros for street adaptation and reconstruction.

Both projects aim to modernise urban infrastructure and improve safety and accessibility for residents.
