Niš Jazz Festival scheduled for August 8‑16 with international performers

The 32nd Niš Jazz Festival (Nišvil) will take place from 8 to 16 August 2024 at the historic Niš Fortress. The program features the Amy Winehouse Band, disco‑funk group Boney M celebrating its 50th anniversary, and Serbian pianist‑composer Milivoje Mikan Zlatković, the 2023 lifetime‑achievement award winner. Additional acts include jazz trios Stochela Rosenberg, Yannisa Constansai, Camille Wolfrom, Paquito D’ Rivera, and Barney Esville & Barks.

The city of Niš is providing a record 60 million dinars in funding, while the Ministry of Culture did not contribute this year. The Ministry of Tourism allocated 4 million dinars to support the event. Despite the financial shortfall, the festival will run a parallel program starting 8 August and main stage performances from 13 August, offering nine days of jazz for locals and visitors.
