NIA arrests three more suspects in Nalagadh police station IED blast case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested three additional suspects in connection with an IED explosion that occurred at the Nalagadh police station in Himachal Pradesh. This brings the total number of arrests in the case to six.

The explosion took place on January 1, 2026, near the outer wall of an investigating officer's room within the police station premises. Following the incident, the investigation was transferred to the NIA, which registered a new case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Explosives Act, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The newly arrested individuals have been identified as Arshdeep Singh (alias Arsh Condola), Karan Pratap, and Diljot Saini, all residents of the SBS Nagar district in Punjab. These suspects were already in custody regarding a separate case registered at the Garhshankar police station in Hoshiarpur, Punjab.

Previously, the NIA had arrested Mahavir Kumar (alias Kaka), Ajay Mehra, and Manpreet Singh (alias Mani). The agency is continuing its investigation to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy, identify the roles of all involved, and map the entire criminal network.
