Nicaragua advances national education strategies and teacher training

Nicaragua is advancing its educational reforms through two major initiatives. The Ministry of Education (MINED) held the third National Pedagogical Meeting, where 38 primary school English teachers were selected from over 1,900 educators to present successful teaching methods and original stories. The event aims to strengthen communicative skills and English proficiency in children by sharing creative classroom strategies.

Simultaneously, authorities and educational specialists are formulating the National Education Strategy 2027-2030. This participatory process involves various sectors, including art, culture, and innovation, to create an inclusive educational model. Key objectives of the new strategy include improving teacher professional development, upgrading school infrastructure and equipment, and promoting scientific and technical research capabilities.
