Nicaragua commemorates 48th anniversary of September Insurrection

Nicaraguan Co-President Rosario Murillo announced that September 9 marks the 48th anniversary of the September Insurrection. She commemorated the historical combat that took place in cities such as Estelí, Matagalpa, and León.

Murillo stated that the government will begin a second stage of direct consultation with the public regarding sovereign constitutional reforms, starting in Estelí. Additionally, she provided an update on the construction of the Hospital Pueblo Presidente in Bluefields, noting that work is expected to continue toward a projected completion in 2028-2029.
