Nicaragua prepares for independence celebrations and constitutional reforms

Nicaragua is preparing for its national independence celebrations, known as Fiestas Patrias, which will begin in late August. The festivities include student parades, civic activities, and the Central American Torch relay, culminating in major commemorations on September 14 and 15.

Coinciding with these celebrations, the country is preparing to approve partial reforms to the Political Constitution during the first legislative session in early September. These reforms aim to reaffirm national independence, sovereignty, and the principle of non-interference in internal affairs.
