Nick Cannon discusses relationship with Mariah Carey and co-parenting

Nick Cannon has addressed his relationship with ex-wife Mariah Carey nearly a decade after their divorce, stating that they maintain close communication. In an interview with Us Weekly, Cannon noted that they speak almost every day or every other day, primarily to coordinate the upbringing of their twins, Monroe and Moroccan.

Cannon described Carey as his ‘greatest friend and greatest teacher,’ praising her ability to block out negative energy and maintain her own space. He clarified that their divorce was not ‘messy’ and that they have successfully focused on being the best parents possible. Regarding rumors of a romantic reconciliation, Cannon stated he remains ‘always open’ to the possibility and intends to reveal more truth in his upcoming Netflix documentary.

Separately, Cannon discussed the challenges of managing his large family, noting that he feels ‘guilt daily’ while attempting to divide his time among his 12 living children. He described his life as a ‘whirlwind’ of activities, including school events and various extracurricular lessons.
