Nick Cannon co-parenting and family dynamics

Nick Cannon has addressed the complexities of managing his large family and co-parenting responsibilities. Cannon described the experience of parenting 12 children as a “whirlwind” that causes him to feel “guilt daily” as he balances his career with family life.

Regarding his relationship with ex-wife Mariah Carey, Cannon reiterated that their divorce was not “messy” and that they maintain a close bond. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Cannon noted that they speak almost every day or every other day to coordinate the upbringing of their twins, Monroe and Moroccan. He described Carey as his “greatest friend and greatest teacher,” praising her ability to maintain her own space. While addressing rumors of a romantic reconciliation, Cannon stated he remains “always open” to the possibility and intends to share more details in an upcoming Netflix documentary.

In contrast, Bre Tiesi has highlighted different challenges regarding her co-parenting dynamic with Cannon. Tiesi noted that there is no unified effort to balance the various components of the family, stating, “There is no we — we don’t balance anything.” She indicated that she is stepping back from family conflicts to allow the children to build their own sibling relationships, asserting that it is Cannon’s responsibility to “create an environment and support the children.” Tiesi also confirmed she does not intend to have more children with Cannon.
