Nico Rosberg disputes Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari interest claims

Nico Rosberg has dismissed Lewis Hamilton’s claims regarding his long-standing interest in joining Ferrari. Hamilton recently suggested that a move to the Italian team had been on his mind since his dominant years with Mercedes, specifically noting that Sebastian Vettel’s contract extension in 2017 made him realize he might have a chance to join Maranello.

Rosberg, Hamilton’s former Mercedes teammate and rival, characterized the narrative as “completely absurd,” arguing that the British driver had no desire to leave Mercedes at that time. While Hamilton mentioned previous discussions with former Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali that did not result in an agreement, Rosberg maintains that the current version of the story is a retrospective reconstruction.
