Nicolo Bulega secures hat-trick at WorldSBK Magny-Cours
Nicolo Bulega achieved a hat-trick at the WorldSBK French Round in Magny-Cours, securing victories in Race 1, the Superpole Race, and Race 2. This performance brings his 2026 season total to 26 wins in 27 races, placing him just one victory away from the all-time single-season record of 27.
In Race 2, Bulega led from the start and finished over five seconds ahead of teammate Iker Lecuona. The race was red-flagged with one lap remaining following a heavy crash by Tommy Bridewell, who was diagnosed with a concussion. Despite the interruption, the podium was completed by Lecuona in second and Yari Montella in third.
Bulega also set a new race lap record during the weekend, clocking 1’34.750. The dominance of the Aruba.it Racing Ducati team was evident throughout the event, with Ducati machines occupying the top six positions in Race 2. The championship moves to Cremona, Italy, for the next round.
