Nicolo Bulega can clinch WorldSBK title at Magny-Cours
Ducati rider Nicolo Bulega has the opportunity to mathematically secure the 2026 WorldSBK title this weekend at Magny-Cours. Bulega has dominated the season, winning 23 of 24 races on the updated Ducati Panigale V4 R.
Currently leading the championship by 133 points, Bulega needs to outscore his closest rival, Iker Lecuona, by at least 53 points over the weekend to clinch the title before the final rounds. With 62 points available across three races at Magny-Cours, Lecuona must score at least 10 points—such as a sixth-place finish in Race 1—to prevent Bulega from winning the championship immediately. If Lecuona succeeds in keeping the title race alive, the championship will proceed to the next round in Cremona, Italy.
