Nicolo Bulega to join VR46 Racing Team in MotoGP for 2027

Nicolo Bulega will move from the Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) to MotoGP for the 2027 season, joining the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team. The announcement follows Bulega’s highly successful period in WorldSBK, where he achieved a dominant record of 26 wins in 27 races during the 2026 season.

Bulega, an Italian rider, will join the Ducati-supported satellite team alongside teammate Fermin Aldeguer. The move marks a return to the team where Bulega was previously part of the VR46 academy as a child. To facilitate this transition, Franco Morbidelli will move to the Aruba.it Racing Superbike team to take over Bulega’s former position.

While Ducati has not officially disclosed the specific lengths of the new contracts, reports suggest Aldeguer has signed a two-year deal, while Bulega has agreed to a one-year commitment.
