Nicolás Occhiato ends Florencia Peña's Luzu TV contract
Nicolás Occhiato, founder of the streaming channel Luzu TV, confirmed that the contract with actress Florencia Peña was terminated by mutual agreement and without any legal dispute. The program they co‑hosted, "El Show del Verano," will not return to the channel’s schedule, and Occhiato said the separation was “in good terms.”
The dispute originated after Peña broadcast a false report claiming that Jorge Messi, Lionel Messi’s father, had died. Following the misinformation, Peña sought compensation from Luzu TV, initially citing 200 million pesos and later raising the claim to 750 million pesos for alleged professional and psychological damage. Occhiato rejected any prospect of a lawsuit and indicated that while future collaboration is not ruled out, no further episodes of the show are planned.
