Nicușor Dan inaugurates Bistrița hospital and joins Carpathian summit

President Nicușor Dan has made several high-profile appearances, most notably at the inauguration of the modernized Bistrița County Emergency Hospital. The 127 million euro project, funded largely through the PNRR, includes a new building and significant digital and energy efficiency upgrades. During the event, Dan urged Romanians to maintain a balanced view of the country, noting that while corruption and interest groups remain challenges, successful large-scale projects should be celebrated to counter a pervasive sense of national crisis.

In Ukraine, President Dan participated in the inaugural summit of the Carpathian Integration Initiative, a regional cooperation format involving eight countries and the EU aimed at enhancing trade and security. He also addressed issues regarding the Romanian minority in Ukraine, noting that educational support and scholarships have been restored.

Domestically, Dan addressed the ongoing political process to form a new government, calling for political parties to act responsibly during the ten-day consultation period. He also highlighted the importance of regional connectivity and infrastructure, particularly at borders, to facilitate economic cooperation.
