Niğde officials launch marriage support project for young couples
In Niğde, Turkey, the Niğde Family and Social Services Provincial Directorate organized a breakfast event to celebrate young couples who have established homes through the ‘Support Project for Youth Getting Married’. The initiative is part of a broader program conducted by the Ministry of Family and Social Services.
Local officials, including Deputy Governor Soner Divli and Deputy Mayor Muharrem Çifcibaşı, emphasized that strengthening the family unit is essential for a stable society. The project aligns with national visions to support marriage processes through social and economic assistance.
To facilitate these transitions, the program has established partnerships with 51 local businesses. These agreements provide discounts ranging from 15% to 50% on essential items for newlyweds, including furniture, white goods, wedding attire, wedding halls, and salon services. Officials stated that cooperation between public institutions, local governments, and the business sector will continue to support young people in building their homes.
