Niger Delta Development Commission stakeholders discuss 2027 budget

Stakeholders gathered at the 2026 NDDC Partners for Sustainable Development Conference in Port Harcourt to discuss the Niger Delta Development Commission’s 2027 budget proposal and regional development priorities. The meeting included representatives from state governments, oil and gas companies, development agencies, and traditional institutions.

Minister of Regional Development Abubakar Momoh urged regional development commissions to create master plans that can be harmonized into a unified regional development compass. He noted that the Federal Government is working on a new policy framework to coordinate regional initiatives and promote inclusive growth across Nigeria.

NDDC Chairman Chiedu Ebie and Managing Director Samuel Ogbuku emphasized that sustained stakeholder engagement is essential for coordinating development efforts and addressing community needs. The conference also featured the unveiling of a book titled ‘Economic and Critical Development of the Niger Delta States’ much to the commendation of the Minister.
