Nigeria Armed Forces Rescue Kidnapped Victims and Cripple Terrorist Networks

The Nigerian Armed Forces intensified nationwide operations from July 3‑9 2026, rescuing abducted civilians and dismantling terrorist logistics across multiple states. In the North‑East, Operation Hadin Kai freed six farmers in Askira Uba (Borno) and destroyed supply bases in Wulgo, Hausari, Danbaure and Jegarawaji. The North‑West’s Operation Fansan Yamma reclaimed weapons, ammunition and stolen livestock in Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi and Zamfara while intercepting IED material suppliers. In the North‑Central, Operations Savannah Shield, Enduring Peace and Whirl Stroke led to arrests and weapons recoveries in Niger, Kwara, Plateau, Benue, Kogi and Taraba. Southern operations (Delta Safe and Udo Ka) targeted sea pirates, illegal oil‑refining sites in Rivers and Abia, and recovered stolen crude and refined products. Air‑force precision strikes and reconnaissance supported ground actions. The Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, praised the troops’ professionalism and urged communities to provide timely intelligence to sustain security gains.
