Nigeria Auto Industry Summit 2026 drives EV and CNG transition
The third Nigeria Auto Industry Summit (NAISU) will be held on July 30, 2026 at the Radisson Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos. Organized by the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association in partnership with the National Automotive Design and Development Council, the event brings together leading car manufacturers, regulators, investors and technology providers to map out Nigeria’s clean‑mobility future.
Key participants include Toyota Nigeria, Weststar Associates, Jetour Nigeria, Coscharis Motors and other local and foreign firms. Government officials such as FRSC Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, NADDC Director‑General Joseph Osanipin and Pi‑CNG/EV chief Ismaeel Ahmed will deliver keynote speeches on policy, road safety and the rollout of electric‑vehicle (EV) and compressed natural gas (CNG) solutions.
The summit’s theme – “Nigeria’s Clean Mobility Future: The EV and CNG Journey Under the Bola Tinubu Administration” – focuses on expanding EV charging stations, CNG refuelling infrastructure, local vehicle assembly, consumer awareness and financing mechanisms to lower transport costs, cut emissions and attract private investment.
