Nigeria Customs Apapa Command sets ₦28.1bn single-day revenue record

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Apapa Area Command has achieved a record-breaking single-day revenue collection of ₦28.1 billion. The amount, totaling ₦28,102,000,914.61, was generated on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

This milestone surpasses the Command’s previous daily record of ₦20.1 billion set in September 2025. The surge follows a strong July 2026, during which the Command recorded a monthly revenue of ₦323 billion. The NCS attributes these increases to ongoing reforms, including enhanced digital processes, improved trade facilitation, intelligence-driven interventions, and increased compliance.

Customs Area Controller Emmanuel Oshoba stated that the revenue supports critical national priorities such as infrastructure, security, education, and healthcare. Oshoba credited the achievement to the support of Comptroller-General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi and the cooperation of importers, exporters, and licensed agents.
