At a stakeholder sensitisation workshop, Comptroller Nura Miko urged partners to adopt the GPS‑based system, which replaces physical escorting of cargo and generates real‑time alerts for route deviations, seal tampering or unauthorised stops. Deputy Comptroller Regina Owan highlighted the technology’s role in safeguarding cargo integrity, reducing logistics costs, and boosting revenue collection.
At the closing ceremony of the 2026 NCS Public Relations Conference in Port Harcourt, officials praised anti‑smuggling successes and urged proactive, research‑driven communication to strengthen public trust. Together, enforcement actions, the rollout of electronic clearance tools, and the renewed communication strategy aim to sustain the logistics gains achieved earlier in the month and further improve Nigeria’s port performance.
