Nigeria electricity revenue climbs to N630.9bn in Q4 2025
Nigeria’s electricity market recorded 12.16 million consumers in the fourth quarter of 2025, a quarter‑on‑quarter increase of 130,000 (1.11%). Compared with Q4 2024, the total customer base fell 8.52% from 13.30 million. Metered customers rose to 6.97 million, up 4.58% from the previous quarter and 12.18% year‑on‑year. Customers on estimated billing dropped to 5.20 million, a 3.20% quarterly decline and a 26.67% decrease from Q4 2024.
Electricity distribution companies (DISCOs) collected N630.93 billion in revenue in Q4 2025, a 10.64% rise from Q3 2025 and a 23.75% increase over the same period a year earlier. Electricity supply grew to 6,627.56 GWh, up 7.62% quarter‑on‑quarter and 6.76% year‑on‑year.
