Nigeria PDP candidates decry insecurity and question political endorsements ahead of elections

PDP governorship hopeful Dr. Wole Oluyede in Ekiti State criticised former governor Ayodele Fayose for endorsing incumbent Governor Biodun Oyebanji, arguing the administration has failed to deliver on security and infrastructure. Oluyede said endorsements should be based on measurable achievements and warned that Ekiti voters will decide the election, not political declarations.

In Kogi State, PDP candidate Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm condemned recent kidnappings in Ayegunle‑Igun and the displacement of families across Igala land, describing the violence as an insurgency. He called on Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to deploy special security forces, establish permanent military posts, and increase intelligence operations to protect citizens and restore peace.
