President Tinubu Approves N3.9 trn Road Projects in 15 Nigerian States
President Bola Tinubu has approved 27 road projects valued at over N3.9 trillion, covering 15 states across Nigeria. The Federal Executive Council endorsed works ranging from the re‑award of a 409‑km dual‑carriageway in Niger State to Aliko Dangote, to major dualisation and reconstruction projects such as the Ilorin‑Ogbomoso road, Iseyin‑Eruwa‑Agbesi road and the Abuja‑Kaduna‑Kano highway segment.
Tinubu has also flagged off sections of the 700‑km Akwanga–Kaduna–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe–Biu–Maiduguri super‑highway, inaugurated the full‑scope development of Akinwumi Ajibola Street in Abuja’s Gaduwa district, and commissioned the Gomani‑Dafa‑Yangoji road in the Kwali Area Council. Additional inaugurations include the Oyo Circular Road, the Kabba‑Ifaki‑Ado Ekiti highway, and a 3.7‑km dualised township road with an underpass in Nasarawa’s Akwanga LGA.
The projects are presented as key components of Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda,” intended to improve national integration, road safety, trade routes and job creation while demonstrating the government’s commitment to completing and maintaining infrastructure.
