Nigeria targets $100bn investment at International Investors Summit

The Business Summit Group is targeting more than $100 billion in investment commitments for Nigeria during the International Investors Summit Nigeria 2026. Scheduled for November 10 and 11 in Abuja, the summit aims to connect international investors from over 50 countries with Nigerian businesses, state governments, and investment agencies.

Targeted sectors for these investments include oil and gas, renewable energy, technology, artificial intelligence, fintech, agriculture, mining, healthcare, infrastructure, and education. Group President Haider Uzzaman emphasized that the summit will focus on structured, existing projects with proven track records and viable business models to ensure immediate implementation capabilities.

In a separate economic development, data from the Central Bank of Nigeria indicates that capital inflows rose to $2.82 billion in April 2026, a 256.9 percent increase compared to April 2025. While this represents strong annual growth, monthly inflows saw a decline from $3.85 billion in March, primarily due to reduced foreign portfolio investment. Lagos remains the primary destination for these inflows, accounting for over 61 percent of the total.
