Nigeria U‑17 women’s team Flamingos crush academy 15‑0 ahead of Benin qualifier
Nigeria’s U‑17 women’s national side, known as the Flamingos, delivered a dominant 15‑0 victory over Future Stars ’99 Soccer Academy in a friendly warm‑up. Seven different players scored, highlighted by Kindness Ifeanyi’s first‑half hat‑trick and braces from Tosin Rafiu, Oluebube Umejiaku, Precious Oscar and substitute Tobiloba Sarafa. The win follows an 11‑0 warm‑up triumph over RoyalToms Queens and a prior qualifying round success where Nigeria beat Guinea 11‑0 on aggregate.
The Flamingos now turn their focus to the first leg of the final qualifying round for the 2026 FIFA U‑17 Women’s World Cup, scheduled for July 4 against Benin Republic at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne, with the return fixture set for July 11 in Lomé, Togo.
