Nigeria upgrades Kano Airport terminal, approves N46bn runway project

Nigeria’s Federal Government commissioned the renovated Muhammadu Adamu Dankabo Domestic Terminal at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport. Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo announced that President Bola Tinubu has approved a N46 billion investment to resurface and rebuild the airport’s second runway, aiming to improve operational efficiency and enable the hub to compete with leading international airports.

Keyamo also confirmed that work has begun on upgrading the airport’s Hajj Terminal, part of the broader “Renewed Hope Agenda” to modernise the country’s aviation infrastructure, enhance passenger experience and strengthen regional connectivity in Northern Nigeria.
