The Nigeria women’s under‑17 national team, known as the Flamingos, achieved an 11‑0 aggregate victory over Guinea in the FIFA U‑17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers. Captain Harmony Chidi credited the result to hard work, preparation and strong support from the coaching staff, praising the team’s discipline and attacking play.
Meanwhile, the senior Super Falcons gathered at a camp in Ikenne, hosting Senegal’s Lionesses of Teranga for two friendly matches at the Remo Stars Sports Complex. Coach Justine Madugu fielded a full squad featuring stars such as Asisat Oshoala, Francisca Ordega, Ngozi Okobi‑Okeoghene and emerging talents like Josephine Matthias.
