Nigerian Army neutralises terrorists and recovers weapons in Adamawa and Anambra
The Nigerian Army has conducted several successful military operations across Adamawa and Anambra states, resulting in the neutralisation of numerous terrorists and the recovery of significant weapon caches.
In Adamawa State, troops from Operation Hadin Kai neutralised 16 terrorists during a coordinated ground ambush and precision air strike in the Boima area of Gombi Local Government Area. This engagement followed simultaneous attacks on the 226 Battalion in Garkida and the 232 Battalion in Garaha, which resulted in the deaths of three soldiers. Weapons recovered include AK-47 rifles, pump-action guns, and various ammunition.
In Anambra State, troops from Operation UDO KA dismantled a criminal hideout in the Ogbaru Local Government Area after rescuing three kidnap victims in Ihiala. Following the arrest of a suspect, security forces used canoes to access a forest camp, where they recovered AK-47 rifles, locally fabricated guns, bomb-making materials, and various electronic items. The operation aimed to disrupt logistical networks supporting kidnapping and other criminal activities in the South-East region.
