Nigerian family appeals for 10m Naira ransom to rescue kidnapped newlyweds

The family of Precious Alonge has launched a public appeal to raise 10 million Naira to secure the release of a newlywed couple and four other individuals kidnapped along the Kwara-Kogi border.

The victims were abducted last Saturday evening while traveling along the Eruku-Iyemero road, reportedly returning from an engagement ceremony. The vehicle used by the group was later discovered abandoned at a former police station in Ayetoro, Ekiti State.

Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, confirmed the incident, stating that soldiers have been deployed to search the area. Police operatives from three affected states are currently conducting a joint rescue operation due to the location of the crime near border communities.
