Dangote Cement Approves Record Dividend and Plans London Dual Listing

Dangote Cement Plc announced a record profit after tax of ₦1.01 trillion for 2025 and a 50 percent increase in its final dividend to ₦45 per share, amounting to a payout of about ₦753.8 billion. The dividend marks the highest in the company’s history and brings total dividends paid over the past 15 years to more than ₦3.3 trillion.

At the company’s 17th AGM in Lagos, shareholders also approved a resolution authorising the board to pursue a secondary listing of Dangote Cement shares on the London Stock Exchange, expanding the firm’s access to international capital markets. The dual‑listing plan follows remarks by founder Aliko Dangote that the company aims to list about 10 percent of its shares abroad.

Management highlighted continued growth, citing a recent 3‑million‑tonne‑per‑annum grinding plant commissioned in Côte d’Ivoire and a target to raise total installed capacity to 80 million tonnes per year by 2030. The strong financial performance, dividend increase, and upcoming London listing underscore Dangote Cement’s position as Africa’s largest cement producer and a major driver of the Nigerian market.
