Nigeria's Army Disrupts Terrorist Networks in Borno and Yobe

Operation HADIN KAI troops in Nigeria's northeast arrested a Sudanese national suspected of fighting for terrorist groups and a Ghanaian woman alleged to be an illegal immigrant in Borno State. The operation also seized a cache of herbicides, fertilizer, rice, tools and other materials that could be used for improvised explosive devices.

In a separate operation in Yobe State, the army intercepted a Boko Haram/ISWAP extortion convoy, killing one attacker and retrieving weapons, ammunition, drugs and logistical equipment. Four other suspects fled with injuries. The moves are part of a wider intelligence‑driven campaign to dismantle insurgent supply chains and revenue sources across the region.
