ICPC and BPP recognized for performance in Nigeria

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) have been identified as top-performing agencies following an independent assessment by a coalition of civil society organizations. The assessment, presented at a roundtable in Lagos, evaluated various federal ministries, departments, and agencies on transparency, accountability, and service delivery.

The ICPC, led by Chairman Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, was recognized for its efforts in protecting public resources and strengthening institutional safeguards against corruption through investigative and preventive measures.

The BPP, under Director-General Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, was noted for procurement reforms that reportedly saved the Federal Government approximately ₦1.1 trillion in 2025. Additionally, the BPP has implemented mandatory foundational training for 350 procurement officers to enhance professionalism and integrity within the public sector.
