Nigeria's Mbah, Oborevwori Highlight Performance for 2027 Election

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has emphasized his administration’s fiscal reforms, reporting internally generated revenue of about ₦406.8 billion in 2025—roughly 80 % of the state’s target—and an 80 % reduction in violent crime after deploying technology‑driven security systems. He cites these gains as evidence that Enugu is on track to expand its economy from $4.4 billion to $30 billion and attract investment, tourism, and improved public services.

In Delta State, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s performance is highlighted by the completion of the Trans‑Warri/Ode‑Itsekiri road and bridge network, cutting travel time between Asaba and Warri to under two hours. The administration is also investing billions of naira in large‑scale storm‑water drainage to mitigate flooding in Warri, Uvwie, Okpe and Asaba, and is revising youth empowerment and entrepreneurship programmes. Commissioner Charles Aniagwu argues that the state’s zoning arrangement and the governor’s record will neutralise opposition ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
