Nigeria's NITDA Teams with Women Educators for Nationwide Digital Literacy and STEM Drive
The Director-General of Nigeria's National Information Technology Development Agency, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, met with Zainab Inuwa Adamu, the North‑West Zonal Coordinator of the National Association of Women in Colleges of Education. The two parties discussed a partnership to launch a nationwide programme that will provide digital literacy, entrepreneurship and STEM training for female educators and the students they support.
The initiative emphasizes sustained capacity building rather than one‑off interventions. It will include digital marketing, business planning and mentorship opportunities that cascade to girls, with NITDA supplying digital tools, learning materials and inviting the association to the Digital Nigeria Conference 2026. Both organisations expressed readiness to collaborate on expanding the STEM pipeline for young women in Nigeria.
