Nigeria's Operation Hadin Kai rescues six abducted schoolchildren in Borno
Troops of the Joint Task Force (North‑East) under Operation Hadin Kai rescued six abducted victims – four adults and two infants – at Talakawa in Chibok Local Government Area, Borno State. The victims had been taken in May from Mussa, Askira/Uba LGA. Acting Military Information Officer Captain Mohammed Goni said the rescue resulted from sustained air and ground operations backed by credible intelligence.
The rescued individuals were taken to a secure location for medical evaluation and received relief materials. During the operation, troops also recovered 50 rounds of PKT ammunition abandoned by insurgents. Operation Hadin Kai pledged to continue the search and rescue mission until all remaining abductees are recovered and reunited with their families, emphasizing its commitment to protect lives, defeat terrorism and restore stability in Nigeria's North‑East.
