Nigeria’s Tinubu to Inaugurate Ten New FCT Infrastructure Projects by December

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike announced that contractors must complete eight to ten major road projects, including the Apo‑Karshi and Bwari‑Kubwa roads, before the end of December so they can be inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu. Wike said the administration has already inaugurated 31 projects within 28 days and will continue to monitor contractors to avoid delays, stressing the need to uphold public confidence.

The projects are part of a broader effort to deliver key infrastructure across the FCT before the end of Tinubu’s first term in May 2027. Wike highlighted that the Apo‑Karshi road, revived after years of neglect, now has streetlights installed, and urged the Bwari‑Kubwa contractor to meet the timeline despite terrain challenges.
