Nigrán Council and Soria City Hall Under Political Scrutiny
In Nigrán, the Galician nationalist party BNG demanded that the municipal corporation be given adequate time to review the draft Plan Xeral (PXOM). Spokesperson Xavier Rodríguez criticized the commission’s two‑day notice and the scheduling of the plenary session during the town’s San Juan festivities, calling the process an “insult to councilors and residents.” He warned the party would continue to examine the reports and oppose any rushed approval.
In Soria, the municipal Popular Party group filed a formal request for information after a judicial raid on the city hall. The party said the council received a notice of the raid on 22 June at about 13:00 and asked who sent the communication, who received it, how access was authorized and which officials knew in advance. The PP stressed the need for written clarification to ensure transparency and uphold the council’s duty to the public.
