Nike announces upcoming Kobe Protro releases for 2027

Nike has announced upcoming releases for its Kobe Bryant signature line, including a reissue of the Kobe 8 Protro ‘Easter’ and a public launch of Jalen Brunson’s personal Kobe 5 Protro.

The Kobe 8 Protro ‘Easter’ is expected to arrive in Spring 2027 with a retail price of $200. The design features a mix of light blue, yellow, dark blue, and purple tones with a snakeskin-style graphic on the mesh upper, closely following the original 2013 colorway while incorporating modern performance cushioning.

Additionally, the Nike Kobe 5 Protro ‘What The Rick’ is scheduled for a Summer 2027 release at $200. This sneaker is a tribute by New York Knicks player Jalen Brunson to his father, Rick Brunson. The symmetrical design uses a Total Orange, Black, and Hyper Cobalt colorway, with various panels representing the different NBA teams Rick Brunson played for during his career.
