Nike unveils advanced Kobe X Protro ‘Halo’ and Dodgers‑inspired Kobe 5/AF1 Protro releases

Nike announced the Kobe X Protro “Halo” edition, slated for release on August 23, 2026 at a retail price of $200. The shoe features full‑length Zoom Strobel cushioning and Cushlon 3.0 foam, replacing the previous Lunarlon and Zoom heel unit, and is presented in an all‑white “Halo” colorway.

In a separate launch, Nike introduced a Kobe 5 Protro and Air Force 1 Protro collection that incorporates Los Angeles Dodgers branding. The Hyper Royal Kobe 5 Protro and Wolf Grey Air Force 1 Protro showcase baseball‑inspired stitching, red accents and Kobe Bryant’s No. 8 on the heel. The sneakers will be available in extended unisex sizes, with the Kobe 5 priced at $180 in North America ($190 globally) and the Air Force 1 at $150 ($160 globally). An exclusive early‑access event will occur at the Mamba Invitational in Los Angeles on August 8‑9, followed by a global release on August 15. The collaboration also extends to baseball equipment such as batting gloves and cleats in matching colors.
