Niklas Landin reflects on choosing handball over student traditions

Handball player Niklas Landin shared a personal anecdote on the podcast ‘På Bænken’ regarding a significant choice made early in his career. Upon completing business school, Landin chose to attend a handball summer camp instead of participating in the traditional ‘studenterkørsel’ (student tour) with his classmates.

At the time, Landin was beginning to realize his talent was exceptional, as players from Jutland had begun hearing about the tall goalkeeper from Copenhagen. While he expressed some lingering regret over missing the social milestone, he noted that handball has provided him with many other rewarding experiences.

In addition to this personal reflection, Landin has recently addressed his professional performance, specifically dismissing rumors of a crisis following a strong performance with Aalborg, where he recorded a 43 percent save rate.
