Niklas Landin career reflections

Overview

Handball goalkeeper Niklas Landin has shared personal reflections on his career during appearances on the podcast ‘På Bænken’.

Landin discussed early career decisions, noting that he chose to attend a handball summer camp over participating in the traditional ‘studenterkørsel’ social milestone after business school. He also addressed recent professional rumors, dismissing claims of a performance crisis following a strong showing with Aalborg where he achieved a 43 percent save rate.

Additionally, Landin recounted his experiences joining the Danish national team. He described the nervousness of interacting with veterans and highlighted the support of goalkeeper Kasper Hvidt. Landin recalled that when expert Bent Nyegaard criticized his play and suggested a replacement, Hvidt took the criticism personally and offered a more aggressive form of support than other senior players, leaving a lasting impression on Landin.
