Niko Kovač announces upcoming discussion with Jürgen Klopp

Borussia Dortmund coach Niko Kovač has revealed that he has scheduled a telephone conversation with the new German national team manager, Jürgen Klopp. Kovač announced that the two are set to speak to discuss cooperation between the Bundesliga clubs and the national association.

Kovač emphasized that while Klopp will make final decisions regarding the national team, he will receive all necessary information through collaboration with club coaches. The discussion comes ahead of Klopp's first official appearance in his new role, where he is expected to attend the Super Cup match between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

Regarding player availability, Kovač noted that Dortmund players Felix Nmecha, Waldemar Anton, and Maximilian Beier are currently under consideration for the national team. Meanwhile, Nico Schlotterbeck remains sidelined due to a ligament injury sustained during the World Cup.
