Nikola Cokol Penalized in Canada Formula 2 Sprint, Loses Points

During the Formula 2 sprint race in Montreal, Canada, Bulgarian driver Nikola Cokol received a ten‑second time penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage. The sanction dropped him from fourth place to twelfth, removing him from the points‑scoring positions. Japanese driver Rito Miura also incurred a five‑second penalty for causing a collision. The penalties reshaped the top of the classification, promoting Gabriel Mini (who had been second) to the lead and allowing other contenders such as Noah Leclerc and the championship leader to adjust their positions. Despite the setback, Cokol retained his overall lead in the season standings.
