Nikola Tsolov secures third place at Formula 2 Belgian Grand Prix

Bulgarian driver Nikola Tsolov finished third in the main Formula 2 race at Spa‑Francorchamps on 19 July. He started fourth, attempted overtakes on Brazil’s Rafael Camara, was forced off the track and suffered front‑wing damage, but later benefited from a five‑second penalty applied to Alex Dun. The race featured multiple incidents, including a serious crash by Lawrence van Hopen that triggered a red‑flag and a safety‑car period, leading to a shortened 60‑minute race plus one lap.

Tsolov’s podium finish gave him additional points, extending his championship lead to 161 points, ahead of Gabriel Mini (134) and Camara (125).
