Nikola Tsólov targets Silverstone weekend and a possible F1 test this summer

Bulgarian Formula 2 driver Nikola Tsólov said his team has analysed recent Red Bull Ring data and made major car‑setup changes ahead of the Silverstone weekend on 3 July. He noted warmer temperatures could affect performance and explained the team is trialling both hard and soft tyre compounds to find the optimal balance. Tsólov expects the race to resemble his Barcelona outings rather than the Red Bull Ring, and free practice will start at 12:00 GMT on Friday.

Racing Bulls team principal Peter Bayer confirmed that Tsólov will be offered a Formula 1 car test this autumn, once he completes the required TP‑C‑I programme on older F1 machinery to obtain the necessary licence. The 19‑year‑old, who already has four wins this season and sits second in the championship, dismissed rumors that he might replace Liam Lawson at Racing Bulls next year.
