Nikola Tsolov rescued from debt by Red Bull, eyeing F1 seat

Nikola Tsolov, the dominant Formula 2 champion with six race wins, has been reportedly freed from a restrictive contract linked to Fernando Alonso's driver management. According to a Red Bull insider, the team’s principal Helmut Marko purchased Tsolov out of the agreement, preventing the young Bulgarian from facing bankruptcy. Red Bull announced that the driver will receive full support, positioning him as the next candidate for a Racing Bulls Formula 1 seat should current drivers Liam Lawson or Arvid Lindblad move on. Team boss Alan Permane previously described Tsolov as “next in line” for promotion, underscoring Red Bull’s investment in his talent.
