Nikola Tsolov secures second consecutive podium in Barcelona Formula 2
Bulgarian driver Nikola Tsolov, racing for Campos Racing, finished second in the Formula 2 Grand Prix at the Catalonia circuit in Barcelona. After a strategic tyre choice and a pit stop for soft tyres, he moved from ninth to second place, six seconds ahead of Noel Leon.
Earlier in the weekend, Tsolov had placed third in the sprint race, marking his fourth podium of the season. The Grand Prix result moved him back to the top of the drivers' standings with 86 points, three points ahead of Gabriel Mini, who led after the sprint.
Tsolov’s strong performance in Barcelona marks his first double podium in a single Formula 2 weekend and solidifies his championship challenge.
